Historic District On Foot

This private tour begins at the previously agreed time and starting point. These last ones can be in centrally located hotels, at the Basilica, or at Portón de Campo, which is where the tour begins. During the tour we will explore places of historical significance in Colonia del Sacramento such as the Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, one of the main architectural symbols of the city; The Ruins of the Governors` House and the Bastions and Bulwarks, which are the fortifications that protected the city in times of war.

In addition, we will visit the old citadel gate and the wall, the Street of Sighs, a cobbled street with a variety of legends and ideal for taking photographs, the Lighthouse of the city and The Ruins of the San Francisco Xavier Convent.

After approximately an hour and a half, we will conclude the tour and return to the starting point, that is, the Portón de Campo.
