Regular Bus From Punta Arenas To Ushuaia
TransferAbout this transfer
The bus departs from the South Bus Terminal in Punta Arenas at 08:00 am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Shortly after departure, we will arrive at the Strait of Magellan, where we will board a ferry for the crossing. This boat journey takes about 30 minutes.
Once the ferry docks, the bus will continue towards Ushuaia, making a stop at the border to complete immigration procedures for both Chile and Argentina. Please note that during the SENASA and SAG controls, certain items such as sausages, fruits, and other foods are not permitted.
The route passes through Rio Grande, where additional passengers will board. Please be aware that you are not allowed to leave the bus during this stop. The journey continues to the final destination, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.
Keep in mind that there are no scheduled official stops during this trip. However, the transfer includes an onboard breakfast service, which consists of a bottle of water, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a cereal bar.
Before boarding the ferry, you may have the opportunity to make some purchases if the shop is open. We suggest bringing cash in case you wish to buy something at the border stops.
This service is highly recommended for travelers who need to cross the border.
