Tour Description
Day 1
Arrival in Salta
Upon arrival at the airport or bus terminal, you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel in Salta.
The remainder of the day is yours to explore at leisure.
Accommodation: 3 nights in a chosen hotel (double room with breakfast).
Day 2
Exploring Quebrada de Humahuaca
Jujuy
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and the vibrant cultures that reside here.
Your first stop is the quaint village of Purmamarca to admire the extraordinary Hill of Seven Colors, the Church, and the Craft Market in the square.
Continue through the Posta de Hornillos and make your way to Tilcara to visit the Pucará and the Archaeological Museum.
Proceed to Huacalera, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, where you can marvel at the hill known as the Pollera de la Colla. Visit the Church of Uquía, famous for its Arquebusier Angels paintings. Arrive at Humahuaca to explore its notable Cathedral and the Monument to Independence (El Indio) by sculptor Soto Avendaño.
After lunch, admire the Pintor's Palette from the road, which frames the town of Maimara, and return to Salta via the lush subtropical cornice road.
Travel through the Abra de Santa Laura, observing the La Ciénaga dam, Las Maderas, and Campo Alegre, before heading back to Salta through Vaqueros.
Day 3
Cafayate Wine Region Tour
Salta
Set out on a scenic drive through the Lerma Valley, passing tobacco fields and colonial towns like Alemania, the former end of the Belgrano railway.
Continue into the Quebrada del Río Las Conchas, where wind and water have sculpted fascinating formations: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the Devil's Throat, the castles, and the amphitheater, among others.
Travel along National Route 68 to reach Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquíes Valleys, globally renowned for its wine varieties, especially the Torrontés, which you can sample during visits to both artisanal and industrial wineries.
Return to Salta via the same route, where the changing sunlight will cast a completely new light on the ravine's landscape.
Day 4
Goodbye to Salta

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and enjoy some free time before your transfer to the airport or terminal in Salta.
