Upon your arrival at San Martin de los Andes airport or the bus terminal, you will be welcomed and transferred directly to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, allowing you the flexibility to explore or relax as you wish.

Accommodation: your chosen hotel in a standard room, including breakfast for 3 nights.

In the morning, we will set out along the scenic Route of the 7 Lakes, nestled within the Patagonian Andean forest.

Internationally acclaimed for its stunning scenery, the Route of the 7 Lakes takes you on a four-hour journey past lakes Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo, and Nahuel Huapi. During the trip, we will pause at several viewpoints, each offering breathtaking and unique vistas of the lakes.

Our journey will end at Villa La Angostura, a charming town on the northwest shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi. This destination is renowned for having some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Argentina. Set within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Villa La Angostura is surrounded by lakes and nestled among some of Patagonia’s primary protected areas.

The area’s forests, rivers, waterfalls, and mountains offer ever-changing scenery that transforms with each season.

In Villa La Angostura, we will visit the lake port, Quintupuray, the Messidor, the town center, and its picturesque surroundings. You will also have free time to discover the city and its many attractions at your own pace. At around 6 pm, we will return to San Martín de los Andes.

Departing at 9 am from your hotel in San Martín de los Andes, we travel approximately 42 km to our destination. Along the way, we will stop in the city of Junin de los Andes for a City tour featuring visits to the Church-monument dedicated to Laura Vicuña and Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, both significant for their connection to the region’s Mapuche culture and recognized by the Vatican.

Leaving Junín, a short drive will bring us to our first view of Lake Huechulafquen, with the majestic Lanin Volcano serving as a stunning backdrop. Here, we will stop to stroll along the beaches and visit the source of the Chimehuín River, a world-renowned spot for trout fishing.

We will continue by vehicle into Lanín National Park, following the shoreline of Lake Huechulafquen for about 30 km. As we enter the park, the landscape shifts to forests of ancient Araucarias. The tour continues to the barbecue fields run by the Mapuche community of Cañicul, where you can enjoy traditional grilled meats and a variety of salads (lunch is optional and not included).

Our route takes us even closer to the iconic Lanín Volcano and its impressive glaciers. At the volcano’s southern base—the closest accessible point—we can capture unforgettable photos of its summit and icy slopes. This is also the starting point for ascents to the peak.

The journey proceeds to Lake Paimún, where you’ll have the chance to visit a unique chapel. This special site reflects the convergence of diverse cultures and incorporates the symbolism of the indigenous Mapuche peoples, blending tradition with local heritage.

We will return to your hotel in San Martin de los Andes at approximately 7 p.m.
