Tour Description
Day 1: Arrival in Salvador
Upon arriving at Salvador airport, you will be warmly welcomed and escorted to your chosen hotel situated in the city center. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you wish.
Day 2: Historical City Tour
Your tour begins with a departure from selected hotels to explore some of the most significant historical sites in Salvador, including its earliest streets, squares, and churches.
We'll start at the Bar Lighthouse and proceed to Cidade Alta by way of the Victory Corridor, Campo Grande, and Piedade. This modern section of the city is characterized by its towering buildings and bustling shopping centers, marking it as the economic heart of Salvador.
Our journey continues through the Municipal Square, home to the Rio Branco Palace and the Town Hall, located near the Lacerda elevator, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of All Saints from its balustrades.
From the elevator's viewpoint, you'll have a panoramic view of both the Upper and Lower Cities, as well as the diverse perspectives offered by the streets and homes of Pelô. We then move towards Terreiro de Jesus, where the Cathedral Basilica of the Savior stands, and we will visit the Church of San Francisco, renowned for its wealth and its status as the most exquisite example of Portuguese baroque worldwide.
Our tour concludes at Largo do Pelourinho, a vibrant area rich in colors, cultures, and history. Recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, it was made famous by the illustrious writer Jorge Amado.
We will then return guests to their respective hotels.
