It is the perfect destination for those eager to explore stunning beaches and parks while enjoying the opulence of a major metropolis. On the other hand, Paraty appears frozen in time. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, the area boasts idyllic beaches, numerous islands, waterfalls, and pristine forests.
In Rio, we will tour the renowned Christ the Redeemer and the Sugarloaf Mountain. Additionally, we'll visit the Maracanã Stadium, the Sambadrome, the Cathedral, and the vibrant Selaron Steps. In Paraty, enjoy a boat excursion through the breathtaking beaches and islands. This is a perfect opportunity to unwind in the crystal-clear waters and swim alongside the region's colorful fish.
The Rio de Janeiro and Paraty package includes eight nights in hotels, guided tours, and transfers.

Frequently Asked Questions
The classic Rio de Janeiro and Paraty tour package typically includes bed and breakfast accommodations at select hotels, airport transfers, ground transportation from Rio to Paraty along the Costa Verde, and guided excursions with a Spanish-speaking guide. It generally includes entrance fees to attractions such as Christ the Redeemer (Corcovado) and Sugarloaf Mountain, a city tour of Lapa, Santa Teresa, and the Selarón Steps, and a visit to the historic colonial center of Paraty (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Many packages also include a schooner cruise on the bay, weather permitting. International flights, meals not mentioned, gratuities, and port taxes are not usually included. Please review the detailed itinerary and terms and conditions to confirm exact services.
The classic tour typically lasts between 5 and 7 days, combining the best of Rio de Janeiro and Paraty. A common itinerary includes: Day 1: Arrival and free time in Copacabana or Ipanema; Day 2: Corcovado and city tour; Day 3: Sugarloaf Mountain and free afternoon; Day 4: Scenic transfer to Paraty with photo stops; Day 5: Historical tour and schooner cruise or visit to Trindade beaches; Day 6: Return. The order may vary depending on weather and availability. Extra nights, hotel upgrades, and optional activities (jeep to waterfalls, kayaking) are available. Please check the confirmed itinerary upon booking.
The best time for this tour in Brazil is usually April–June and September–November: pleasant weather, less rain, and fewer crowds at iconic attractions. Between December and March, Rio's summer is hot and humid; there is more rain, although the beach atmosphere is vibrant and Carnival is celebrated (high demand and prices). In winter (July–August), temperatures are mild. In Paraty, rainfall can affect the schooner cruise; in that case, it will be rescheduled. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, light and waterproof clothing, and comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets. Book in advance for holidays and events.
To travel to Brazil and book this tour, verify your documentation according to your nationality: a valid passport (or national identity card for Mercosur countries), and a visa if required. Travel insurance covering medical assistance, cancellations, and water sports is recommended. The yellow fever vaccine is not usually mandatory for Rio/Paraty, but may be suggested if you visit other regions; consult your doctor. Bring credit cards and some Brazilian reais for expenses not included in the tour. Use N/C type electrical outlets and 110–220V voltage (bring an adapter). Minors require appropriate permits. Check for any updated health requirements before departing.
Cancellation and change policies vary depending on the operator and the season. Generally, partial or full refunds are available before departure; promotional rates, holidays, and Carnival may be non-refundable. Date or hotel changes are subject to availability and may result in fare differences. If weather conditions prevent activities such as the gulet trip in Paraty, they will be rescheduled or equivalent alternatives offered. A deposit is typically required to confirm your booking, with the balance due before departure. We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance and carefully reading the terms and conditions of the tour package before payment.
