Tour Description
* Day 1 – Welcome to Cali
Your journey begins with a private transfer from Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport to your chosen hotel in Cali. Once you’ve checked in, enjoy free time to unwind and acclimate in the vibrant capital of Valle del Cauca, celebrated for its warm hospitality, music, and dynamic atmosphere.
In the afternoon, embark on a Walking Tour of the Historic Center with a knowledgeable local guide. Starting in the charming San Antonio neighborhood, you’ll explore iconic sites such as Plaza de Caicedo, San Pedro Cathedral, Teatro Jorge Isaacs, Parque de los Poetas, Puente Ortiz, and the enchanting Boulevard del Río. This tour unveils the unique blend of colonial heritage, urban poetry, and the ever-present rhythm of salsa that defines Cali. The experience concludes at Plazoleta Jairo Varela, a tribute to Grupo Niche, a symbol of Cali’s musical legacy.
After the tour, you may rejoin the group or continue exploring on your own, discovering more of this lively city where every corner pulses with energy.
* Day 2 – Whale Encounter Humpback Whales in Málaga Bay
Prepare for one of Colombia’s most thrilling natural adventures today. The morning begins with an early ground transfer from your hotel to Buenaventura, the country’s primary Pacific port. There, you’ll board a speedboat to Juanchaco, passing through stunning coastal scenery en route to the heart of Uramba Bahía Málaga National Natural Park.
Upon arrival, local guides and biologists will welcome you and accompany you aboard a special boat to search for majestic humpback whales, which migrate from Antarctica each year to these warm waters to give birth. Witness the breathtaking leaps of the calves, the synchronized movements of the mothers, and, if lucky, even hear their underwater songs. This awe-inspiring spectacle takes place in one of the world’s most biodiverse marine environments.
Following the whale watching, you’ll embark on a hike through the region’s cliffs and natural caves (depending on the tide), where jungle, ocean, and stone create a captivating landscape. Enjoy a traditional lunch in Juanchaco and some leisure time on the beach.
In the afternoon, return by boat to Buenaventura and then by land to Cali, carrying with you the unforgettable sounds and sights of the Pacific coast.
* Day 3 – Adventure in San Cipriano
After breakfast, you’ll be collected from your hotel for a one-of-a-kind adventure to the San Cipriano Nature Reserve, a true hidden gem of the Pacific. After crossing the western Andes, arrive at the town of Córdoba, where you’ll ride the iconic "brujitas"—motorized wooden carts that glide along old railway tracks deep into the rainforest.
Upon reaching San Cipriano, you’ll breathe in the fresh rainforest air and embark on a hike to natural pools and waterfalls, perfect for a refreshing swim and connecting with pristine nature. The highlight: tubbing down the river on an inner tube, surrounded by lush greenery, birdcalls, and the gentle flow of water.
At midday, savor a typical Afro-Colombian lunch made from fresh, local ingredients and authentic Pacific flavors. After a relaxing afternoon or further exploration, begin your return journey to Cali.
That night, back at your hotel, you’ll reflect on three days of exploring contrasting worlds: urban life, rainforest, sea, and mountains.
* Day 4 – Farewell to Cali
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a leisurely breakfast or take a final stroll at your own pace. A private transfer will then escort you from your hotel to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport.
Bid farewell to Cali and the Pacific region, your heart filled with unforgettable memories of history, wild nature, vibrant culture, and the welcoming spirit of a destination that always calls you back.
