Tour Description

Planned Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in El Calafate:
Arrive in El Calafate, a charming town nestled on the banks of Lago Argentino, the largest lake in Patagonia, and the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. Overnight in El Calafate.
Day 2: Explore the Perito Moreno Glacier:
Begin your day with breakfast before embarking on an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier located in Los Glaciares National Park. Journey 50 miles (80 kilometers) from El Calafate to the glacier, situated in the southwest corner of Lago Argentino. The park's most iconic feature, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the Perito Moreno Glacier, stretching 19 miles long, 3 miles wide, and standing 197 feet high. Accompanied by your guide, walk along the 1,300-foot (400-meter) trail leading to a viewpoint near the glacier. Spend around two hours at this spot; upon reaching the viewpoint (approximately an hour's walk), you will have free time to capture photos and marvel at the breathtaking views of the glacier and the lake. The Perito Moreno is a dynamic glacier, advancing gradually each day. With some luck, you might witness the spectacular sight of ice calving from the glacier walls into the water. Feel free to bring your own food or dine at the park's restaurant. Overnight in Calafate.
Day 3: Discover Patagonia - Free Day:
Enjoy a day at leisure to select an activity of your choice or simply relax at your hotel.
El Calafate offers numerous options, such as sailing among glaciers or visiting a Patagonian estancia to learn about local traditions and daily life at the world's end. Recommended options: Sailing Rivers of Ice or the Classic Tour to Estancia Cristina. Overnight in Calafate.
Day 4: Transfer from El Calafate to Ushuaia:
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the El Calafate airport for your domestic flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and escorted to your hotel, with the remainder of the day free to explore Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 5: Excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park and the "End of the World" Train:
After breakfast at your hotel, set off for the National Park, located 11 kilometers from Ushuaia. Discover lakes, lagoons, and unbounded rivers as you make your way to the Beagle Channel. Departing from Maipú Avenue, head southwest on National Route 3, passing the slopes of Mount Susana, where the historic prison labor of past inmates can be seen, and now home to the Fuegian Train. Here, an optional tour is available. Continue through the valley to the detour leading to Ensenada Bay, where you'll view Redonda and Estorbo Islands, the opposite shore of the Beagle Channel, and the snow-capped Sampaio mountains (Chile). Returning to National Route 3, traverse the Fuegian forest with its lush flora, reaching Roca Lake for a lakeside walk along the Lapataia River. Here, observe the natural border of Cerro Condor with Chile. Proceed to the park's end, where National Route 3 culminates at Lapataia Bay, featuring the Green and Black Lagoons and an evolving peat bog. Finally, view beaver dams en route to Lapataia Bay. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 6: Leisure Day in Ushuaia:
Post-breakfast, enjoy a free day to choose your activity or relax at your hotel. We suggest a tour to Fagnano and Escondido Lakes via a 4x4 adventure. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 7: Return to Your Original Destination:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ushuaia airport for your domestic flight back to your starting point.
