DAY 1. Upon your arrival at either Cusco airport or bus station, our team will greet you and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to rest and properly acclimatize to the high altitude. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Cusco City Tour and 4 Nearby Ruins
DAY 2. Enjoy a leisurely morning. Later, we will pick you up from the hotel to begin the tour, starting at the Temple of the Sun, known as Koricancha. This iconic site showcases the unique blend of Incan and Spanish architecture, as the foundations were used to build the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo.
Next, we will visit the Cathedral on the Main Square, home to magnificent religious paintings from the Cusco School. The Cusco City Tour continues at Sacsayhuaman, a stunning archaeological complex renowned for its gigantic, perfectly interlocking stones. Constructed by over 20,000 workers, it took more than 70 years to complete.
We then proceed to Qenqo, a sacred temple where the Incas honored their gods, including the Sun, Moon, and Earth. Explore its underground passages and semicircular amphitheater. The tour continues to the military site of Puca Pucara, or “Red Fortress,” named for its reddish stonework.
Our last stop will be Tambomachay, a ceremonial site believed to be dedicated to the worship of water, featuring aqueducts and waterfalls from nearby springs. At the end, we will drop you off at El Regocijo Square.

Sacred Valley of the Incas: Via Ferrata + Canopy + Box Lunch

DAY 3. Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. This full-day adventure through the Sacred Valley starts early, as we pick you up from your Cusco hotel and head towards the Sacred Valley, connecting the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. After approximately an hour and a half, we’ll arrive at our base in Pachar, about 33 miles from Cusco.

Here, after putting on all your safety equipment, you’ll ascend the Via Ferrata Sacred Valley, climbing iron steps anchored into the rock. Alternatively, you may opt for the zip line trail.

After approximately an hour of climbing, you will cross a suspension bridge leading to the highest point of the activity, where you will enjoy a box lunch.

Afterwards, we will descend via the exhilarating Sacred Valley zip line, featuring a longest line of 700 meters and shorter ones of 250 meters, adding excitement to this unforgettable experience.

At the conclusion of this adventure, we will return to the base at Pachar and then take the bus back to your hotel in Cusco.

Machu Picchu

DAY 4. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Early morning, a tourist bus will pick you up from your Cusco hotel to take you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you’ll board a train bound for Aguas Calientes. From there, a bus will take you up to the breathtaking Machu Picchu Citadel, also known as The Lost City of the Incas. A guided tour of about 2 hours will allow you to discover this remarkable archaeological wonder and its stunning landscapes.

Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a key agricultural and urban center of the Inca Empire. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore, take photos, or if you wish, climb Huayna Picchu (optional) for panoramic views. You may also return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (optional).

At the scheduled time, return to the Aguas Calientes train station for your journey back to Cusco, first arriving at Ollantaytambo station, then taking a shared transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

Cusco

DAY 5. Breakfast at your hotel. Free day for personal activities or relaxation before your Vinicunca adventure. Overnight at your hotel.

Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca

DAY 6. After breakfast at the hotel, we will collect you from your Cusco hotel. We’ll embark on a 3.5-hour drive in our shared transportation, traversing a landscape of wild deserts, snow-capped peaks, and herds of alpacas. Upon reaching the trailhead, we’ll enjoy a hot breakfast before starting our trek from Chillihuani at 4200m/13,900ft.

The hike to the famous Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca takes about 4 hours uphill. Along the way, take in breathtaking vistas of the Andes, glacial peaks, red mountains, rocky outcrops, and llamas and alpacas grazing in the valley. At the summit, you may spot native Andean wildlife, including vicuñas.

Vicuñas, unique to this region, are relatives of llamas and produce the world’s most valuable wool. At the top of Rainbow Mountain, you’ll have ample time to take photos and relax, surrounded by the vibrant hues of the nearby peaks and the majestic Ausangate Glacier, the highest mountain in Cusco (nearly 21,000 ft) and a part of the Vilcanota Range.

While enjoying the spectacular view, our staff will offer you hot drinks and share insights about the geological formations and the origins of the mountain’s colorful bands. After capturing unforgettable photos and perhaps spotting condors, we’ll begin the 2-hour downhill trek.

After the hike, meet our trekking chef for a freshly prepared hot lunch. You’ll have the opportunity to visit local families and experience their traditional lifestyle, from speaking Quechua and practicing ancient Andean religion to agriculture and weaving textiles that are showcased in museums throughout Peru.

Finally, following your interaction with the locals, we will return to Chillihuani village to catch our shared transport back to Cusco, arriving around 6 pm and dropping you off at your hotel.
