Pick-up is typically offered at hotels in downtown Puno, and meeting points are available for accommodations outside the city center. The transfer to the pier is by tourist vehicle, and the boat trip is in authorized vessels equipped with life jackets. Departures are usually between 6:30 and 7:30 AM, and returns between 4:00 and 5:30 PM, subject to prior confirmation by the operator. You will receive a voucher with the exact time, guide details, and emergency contact information. Please arrive early and bring your ID. During peak season, expect traffic and lines at the port. Weather conditions may require adjustments to the schedule for safety reasons.

Puno is located at approximately 3,800 meters above sea level, so it is recommended to acclimatize for 24 hours, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol and heavy meals, and consult your doctor about medication for altitude sickness. For the excursion to Lake Titicaca, bring: layered clothing, a windbreaker or rain poncho, a hat, UV sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable non-slip shoes, water, snacks, and cash in soles for handicrafts and tips. The weather is variable: cold mornings, intense sun at midday, and winds in the afternoon. Consider bringing thin gloves, a scarf, and a trash bag. Keep your passport or ID handy.

Prices vary depending on the season, demand, tour type (shared or private), and whether entrance fees and lunch are included. Many agencies allow online booking with a credit card or secure bank transfer. Some offer discounts for children/students with ID. Cancellation policies are usually flexible up to 24–48 hours in advance; within that timeframe, fees or no-show charges may apply. Third-party costs (boat, entrance fees) may be non-refundable. Always check the inclusions section: guide, transportation, port fees, meals, and pick-up. We recommend purchasing travel insurance and reading the operator's terms and conditions before confirming your booking.

Yes, tours are conducted with authorized boats, life jackets, and certified guides. Routes may be adjusted due to wind or waves to prioritize safety. Practice responsible tourism: respect schedules, trails, and local rules on Uros and Taquile; ask permission before taking photographs; do not buy wildlife or feathers; and choose authentic handicrafts that support the local economy. Take your trash back with you and use reusable water bottles. Inform your guide of any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can coordinate lunch. Keep valuables secure, use sunscreen, and drink water. Follow the operator's instructions and keep your voucher and emergency contact information.
