Day 2: Winery Tour
In the afternoon, embark on a visit to two renowned wineries in the regions of Luján de Cuyo and Maipú. The winery guides will introduce you to the winemaking techniques and the stages of producing, bottling, and labeling wines, concluding with a tasting session. Following this, tour an olive oil farm to witness the production process and partake in a tasting. At the day's end, you'll return to the hotel to relax. Day 3: High Mountains Start your day early as you follow the Mendoza River, taking in stunning views of the Cordón del Plata mountain range and the Potrerillos Dam. Frequently Asked Questions
The classic Mendoza tour package typically includes accommodation with breakfast, airport transfers, guided excursions (Mendoza city tour and winery tour with wine tasting), and travel assistance. Some departures also include a high-altitude excursion to Aconcagua Provincial Park. Lunches, dinners, tips, personal expenses, and optional entrance fees are not usually included. Guides are bilingual (Spanish/English), and hotel categories range from 3 to 4 stars. We recommend checking the package page for exact services, pick-up times, and any additional charges, and confirming whether tasting fees and insurance are included.
The Mendoza Clásico program typically lasts 3 to 5 days, ideal for a wine tourism getaway. A common itinerary includes: arrival and transfer to the hotel; a city tour of Mendoza (Plaza Independencia, General San Martín Park, and Cerro de la Gloria); a winery tour in Luján de Cuyo or Maipú with tastings; and, depending on availability, a high-altitude excursion along Route 7 (Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca, and Aconcagua viewpoints). There is also free time for regional cuisine. Please check the "Mendoza Clásico" package details to confirm dates, order of visits, and final times.
Mendoza is a year-round tourist destination. Spring (September–November) and autumn (March–May, harvest season) offer mild weather ideal for winery tours and outdoor activities. Summer (December–February) is hot and dry in the city and valleys; pack a hat, sunscreen, and water. Winter (June–August) is cold, with possible snowfall in the Andes Mountains, perfect for combining with mountaineering. Pack comfortable shoes, layers of clothing for the temperature fluctuations, and a windproof jacket for visits to Aconcagua. Check the weather forecast before your trip to adjust your clothing accordingly and confirm tour availability.
To travel to Mendoza within Argentina, present a valid ID; international travelers require a passport and, depending on nationality, a visa. We recommend travel insurance that covers medical assistance, cancellations, and high-altitude activities in the Andes Mountains. Wine tastings are reserved for adults only, according to local law. If you are taking the High Mountain excursion, inform the operator of any pre-existing health conditions; altitude can affect sensitive individuals. Bring a credit/debit card and cash for expenses not included in the package. Check the updated health and immigration requirements on the "Mendoza Clásico" package page before booking.
Policies may vary depending on the season, hotel, and local provider. A deposit or full payment is generally required to guarantee the reservation; vouchers and pick-up times are confirmed via email or WhatsApp. Cancellations made with sufficient advance notice usually incur little to no charge, while cancellations made close to the date, no-shows, or late modifications may result in penalties. Date changes are subject to availability and fare differences. We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance, reviewing the terms on the "Mendoza Clásico" package website, and confirming exact deadlines, required documentation, and the agency's 24/7 support channels.
