Tour Description
DAY 1.
Upon your arrival in Chiclayo, our driver will be ready to pick you up from either the airport or bus station and escort you to your hotel situated in the heart of the city.
In the afternoon, we will commence this captivating tour by visiting the Paseo de las Musas, a perfect spot for memorable family moments and leisurely walks.
This urban park, established between 1994 and 1995, features various squares adorned with lush gardens and vibrant flowers, alongside sculptures of nine muses from Greek mythology crafted by sculptor Miguel Ángel Díaz Dávila.
The Chiclayo tour proceeds to the Main Park, as the city lacks a Plaza de Armas due to its non-military history. Here, you will enjoy panoramic views of shopping centers, the historic cinema, and the striking Cathedral.
The Cathedral of Chiclayo, also known as Santa María Cathedral, began its construction in 1869 and was completed in 1939 due to funding challenges. Designed by Gustavo Eiffel, it showcases a neoclassical style.
Our tour continues to the Municipal Palace, a notable monument from the republican era, offering temporary photography exhibitions within its elegant halls.
We will wrap up the excursion with a visit to the Witchcraft Market of Chiclayo, a place where you can find a variety of items, including those related to witchcraft, as shamanism in Peru is commonly practiced for healing illnesses, lovesickness, the evil eye, bindings, and more.
You will have time to explore this intriguing market before we return you to your hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 2.
Join us for an archaeological escapade with our exclusive visit to the Túcume Pyramids and Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum.
Discover the enigmatic archaeological complex of Túcume, located just 30 kilometers north of the city. Known as the valley of the pyramids, this site will captivate you with its 26 truncated adobe pyramids encircling the magnificent La Raya hill. These structures bear witness to the ancient Lambayeque, Chimú, and Inca cultures, each leaving their imprint on this remarkable location.
Visit the extraordinary Huaca Larga area, which evolved over 500 years, encompassing entire generations. It includes the impressive Temple of the Sacred Stone from the Inca period, which contains the burial remains of a significant ruler.
Then, we proceed to the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, an optional experience that immerses you in a realm of grandeur and opulence. Inspired by the truncated pyramids of the Moche culture, this stunning museum showcases a vast collection of artifacts unearthed from the tombs of the era's most prominent rulers, including the legendary Lord of Sipán. Gold, ceramics, and intricately designed garments await your discovery in this enthralling archaeological museum.
After concluding this exceptional tour, we will return you to your hotel in the city. You will have the remainder of the afternoon at leisure, followed by an overnight stay.
