Buenos Aires has a temperate climate and is pleasant in autumn (March–May) and spring (September–November). Iguazu Falls has a subtropical climate: it's hot and rainy in summer (December–March) and boasts spectacular water flow in autumn and late spring. Rio de Janeiro is warm year-round; peak season is from December to March (beaches, Carnival), with higher demand and prices. For a balanced trip, opt for April–June or September–November. Pack light clothing, a compact raincoat, non-slip shoes for the walkways at the Falls, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Check holidays and events (Carnival, New Year's) as these affect tour package availability and prices.

Always check requirements based on your nationality. Generally, a valid passport (ideally valid for at least six months) and a return ticket are required. Many Mercosur travelers can enter Argentina and Brazil with their national ID card; citizens of certain countries (e.g., USA, Canada, Australia) require an eVisa for Brazil. For Iguazu Falls, if you cross into Brazil, Brazil's visa policy may apply. The yellow fever vaccination is recommended for visiting the Falls, and some airlines or countries may require a certificate upon re-entry from Brazil. Purchase travel medical insurance with coverage in both Argentina and Brazil. Minors require authorizations. Requirements vary; confirm with consulates and the travel agency before booking.

A popular itinerary lasts 8 to 10 days. Buenos Aires (2–3 nights): arrival, city tour of Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo, La Boca, and Recoleta; tango evening and optional Tigre Delta excursion. Iguazu Falls (2 nights): flight, walkways on the Argentinian side (Devil's Throat, Upper/Lower Circuit, Ecological Train) and, if desired, the Brazilian side with panoramic views and Bird Park. Rio de Janeiro (3–4 nights): Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Santa Teresa and Lapa; optional excursions to Búzios or Niterói. Please allow for transfer and check-in times. You can customize the tour package by adding extra nights and culinary or samba experiences.

Policies vary depending on the season, airfare/hotel rate, and provider. It's common to offer penalty-free cancellations or changes up to a certain point (e.g., 7–15 days), while domestic flights and promotional fares are usually non-refundable or subject to penalties. During peak seasons (Carnival, New Year's, holidays), prepayments and stricter policies may be required. Changes are typically subject to availability and fare differences. Check if the package includes guaranteed departures or a minimum number of passengers and the reconfirmation deadlines (48–72 hours). In case of adverse weather, attempts will be made to reschedule services. Purchase travel cancellation and interruption insurance and carefully read the Terms and Conditions before booking.
