Horseback Riding Under Tungurahua: Adventure In Nahuazo

Cabalgamos por Nahuazo entre cultivos, bosque y vistas enormes del Tungurahua; paramos junto a un mirador con una casita de madera y chocolate caliente. During our low-season family trip, the horseback ride in Nahuazo was wonderfully easy from the start. Our driver arrived at the hotel five minutes early, and the minivan was clean, roomy, and comfortable on the winding road. The team had helmets ready and kept everything moving without rushing. We reached the trail with plenty of time to enjoy Tungurahua views. Calm, well-organized, and genuinely enjoyable throughout.

Escolhemos esta cavalgada para comemorar nosso aniversário e o roteiro superou o esperado: a trilha a cavalo pelas paisagens de Nahuazo, a parada para conhecer a comunidade e o tempo para provar um lanche local deixaram o dia bem variado. Também tivemos momentos tranquilos para apreciar o Tungurahua. Na reserva, a atendente Daniela confirmou por WhatsApp o tamanho dos cavalos, o ponto de encontro e até lembrou de levar casaco. Tudo foi organizado, seguro e muito divertido.

Nach einem intensiven Arbeitsjahr war dieser Ausflug die richtige Mischung aus Bewegung und Entspannung. Wir ritten mit fünf weiteren Gästen unter dem Tungurahua, hielten an einem Aussichtspunkt und wanderten zu einem kleinen Wasserfall. Danach gab es eine kurze Canopy-Fahrt und Mittagessen mit Llapingachos. Die Gruppe blieb klein, locker und herzlich; unser Guide passte die Pferde ruhig an jedes Niveau an. Wir fühlten uns sicher und genossen Nahuazo als Paar.

Pour notre premier voyage à l’étranger, cette balade à cheval sous le Tungurahua a été un vrai bol d’air (et une jolie excuse pour avoir les jambes en compote). Nous n’étions que six voyageurs : ambiance détendue, sans troupeau ni attente interminable. Diego, notre guide, connaissait chaque détour et nous a montré une ancienne coulée de lave près de Nahuazo, en expliquant comment les habitants lisent les nuages avant une éruption. Il ajustait les étriers, rassurait les débutants et plaisantait avec tout le monde. Les chevaux étaient calmes, le paysage spectaculaire ; franchement, on a adoré cette parenthèse loin du bruit de Baños.
