Options to Explore the Fonce River by Rafting:
- OPTION 1: THE SAND PIT
After meeting our guide at your accommodation, we will head towards the spectacular Fonce River, specifically in the < b>section known as La Arenera to begin an unforgettable experience.
Once there, you will receive an induction talk that will prepare you for the exciting rafting activity. You will immerse yourself in the waters of the Fonce to explore the drivable class II and III rapids along 9 kilometers. The duration in the river is approximately1 to 1.5 hours, according to water levels.
The Fonce River is friendly to all travelers, it has calm and challenging stretches, which makes this perfect option for children to older adults. The water temperature ranges between 24 and 28 degrees depending on the season and you will be guaranteed a comfortable and refreshing experience.

- OPTION 2: WATERFALL JUAN CURI
Discover the excitement of rafting in the impressive section of the Juan Curi Waterfall on the Fonce River. Our tour will begin with departure at 9:00 AM from your accommodation in San Gil. Once gathered, we will head towards the river to begin this exciting adventure.
Upon arriving at the starting point at the Juan Curi Waterfall, you will receive a brief safety briefing and instructions from our experienced guide. Then, you will be ready to enter the crystal clear waters of the Fonce River and faceexciting class II-III+ rapids along 15 kilometers of pure fun.
The time in the river can vary from 3 to 4 hours, depending on the level of the water and the speed of the journey. In total, the activity will last approximately 6 hours of guaranteed adventure and beautiful surrounding landscapes.
After completing this exciting tour, we will take you back to San Gil.
