The drive to the hiking trailhead takes around 30 minutes, leading us to the municipality of Envigado, specifically in the El Salado region. As we leave the city behind, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, while the guide provides fascinating insights into the area's biodiversity and its transformation over time. Upon reaching El Salado, our hike commences along trails enveloped by rich vegetation. As you stroll, delight in the melodious birdsong. This locale is ideal for birdwatching in their natural surroundings. You'll likely spot some renowned species, including the white-fronted trogon, various hummingbirds, and the rufous-breasted harrier.
As we delve further into the mountains, we’ll cross streams that guide our journey, with the guide pointing out various flora species encountered on the path.
