Our meeting spot and first destination is the Clock Tower, a majestic structure that serves as the main gate to the walled city. Constructed in the 19th century, this tower still operates with a functional clock.
Just a short distance from the tower, you'll encounter the monument to Don Pedro de Heredia, the city's founder, who is notably remembered for his role in the slave trade and the subjugation of the indigenous people.
