Descripción del Tour

The adventure begins at 5:30 AM with pick-up at hotels located in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga. The three-hour trip to the Santurbán Páramo will allow you to enjoy a mountainous landscape full of life, while we make a stop en route for a typical breakfast that will fill you with energy for the journey.

Upon arriving at the páramo, we will find ourselves in one of the most important ecosystems in Colombia. The Santurbán Páramo, located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters above sea level, is a true "water factory" that supplies millions of people, since its 26 lagoons provide the water resource that feeds rivers and towns in two provinces.

We will continue on a 40-minute walk to Laguna Negra that will take you along paths surrounded by frailejones, an emblematic plant of the moors that can live up to 300 years. During the tour, your guide will tell you about the 457 plant species and 293 fauna species that inhabit this area, including the spectacled bear and the golden eagle.

Laguna Negra, a body of crystal-clear water surrounded by imposing mountains, is one of the most amazing spots in the moor, not only for its beauty but also for its relevance in regulating the water cycle.

After visiting the lagoon, we will stop at the Piedra Parada Refuge, a cozy space where you can enjoy the tranquility and contemplate the landscape. There you will have a typical Santander lunch, with options such as fresh trout or meats, which will give you a delicious sample of the local cuisine.

Later, the tour will continue to the picturesque Pueblito de Berlín, in the municipality of Tona. This place, characterized by its cold climate and moorland landscapes, has a rich history of agriculture and livestock.

Before returning to Bucaramanga, we will visit the Berlin Dam waterfall on the Jordan River, a corner of nature that will allow you to relax and breathe the fresh mountain air. The experience will conclude around 4:00 PM.
