Today, we invite you to embark on an unparalleled natural adventure. Just 110 km from Santiago, lies a hidden natural paradise that invigorates the senses and captivates the soul. The El Morado National Natural Monument Park is nestled in the heart of the Andes Mountains. This protected haven encompasses the enchanting Cajón del Río Morales and the majestic surrounding hills, featuring the stunning Cerro El Morado, which stands at 5,060 meters above sea level and lends its name to the park.

Our journey begins at approximately 7:00 a.m. as we depart from Santiago, leaving behind the mundane to venture into the extraordinary, where nature's splendor awaits. Just 110 km from the city, we encounter the Cajón del Arenas. The path leads us through the awe-inspiring Cajón del Maipo, offering panoramic vistas of towering mountains and tranquil valleys.

Upon arriving at this secluded spot in the Andes Mountains around 10:00 a.m., we are enveloped by a mesmerizing landscape. The Cajón del Arenas greets us with trails that promise to unveil nature's secrets.

After a trek of approximately 3.5 hours, we reach the crown jewel, El Morado Glacier. Here, the splendor of the Glacier Lagoon and The Hanging Glacier of Morado await in all their magnificence, with ancient ice cascading down to create a magical and mystical ambiance. We indulge in a well-deserved and hearty box lunch amidst this glacial backdrop.

Upon returning to the starting point at 5:00 p.m., we revel in a distinctive gastronomic experience. We savor platters featuring a variety of cheeses and hams, complemented by the exquisite taste of a Chilean wine, celebrating the day in a relaxed ambience.

With our spirits filled with gratitude and the flavors still lingering on our palates, we begin our return to Santiago at approximately 6:00 p.m., carrying with us the enchantment of the Glaciar del Morado.

After bidding farewell to the Morado Glacier, you have the choice of adding a stop at the enchanting "Baños de Colina Hot Springs" during the return journey at around 2:30 p.m. The contrast between the coolness of the mountains and the warmth of the hot springs promises a rejuvenating experience.
