Tour Description
Discover the breathtaking allure of Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park with our invigorating "Trekking and Relaxing at El Rincón Beach"experience.
Your adventure kicks off from your hotel in Puerto Varas early in the morning. We will journey along the Ensenada Camino, approximately 60 km, until we reach the iconic Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. As Chile's oldest park, established in 1926, it spans over 250,000 hectares primarily in the province of Llanquihue, showcasing a landscape sculpted by volcanoes, tectonic activity, and glaciers—a unique segment of the Andes Mountains.
Our journey begins with a 6 km trek from the Petrohué area, following a well-marked path through lush jungle forests rich with endemic flora. The park forms part of the Southern Andes Temperate Rainforest Biosphere Reserve, home to species like the canelo, coigüe, patagua, and pitra.
During our exploration, we will be treated to stunning panoramic vistas, including the majestic Lake Todos los Santos and the grand Osorno Volcano. Remember to bring your camera to capture these unforgettable scenes. The local wildlife offers opportunities to spot mammals such as the pudú, pumas, guiñas, and wildcats, along with birds like the mallard, black woodpecker, and kingfisher.
As we descend toward the shores of Lake Todos los Santos, the path may become steep in areas, so caution is advised. At the base, one of the park's hidden gems awaits: the stunning "Playa El Rincón". This serene volcanic sand bay invites you to unwind, swim in its crystal-clear waters, and enjoy a snack while basking in the surrounding natural beauty.
On our return journey, we'll pause at the charming Kataratas Grill cafe, where you can savor local delicacies like salmon sandwiches or homemade sweets (not included), before concluding the day and returning to your hotel in Puerto Varas.
This adventure promises an unforgettable experience, perfect for those eager to explore the natural wonders in the far south of the world.
