San Rafael Lagoon - Explorers Bay From Puerto Tranquilo

Depending on your selection, the guide will either pick you up at 7:00 AM in Puerto Tranquilo, or we'll meet at 9:30 AM at the Bahía Exploradores dock (check below for directions if you opt for the no-transfer option). Upon reaching the dock, a brief safety session will be conducted, and our guide will provide an overview of our journey.

Once aboard the boat, enjoy a delicious breakfast as we take in the breathtaking views of the final stretch and delta of the Exploradores River. After a gentle two-hour navigation, we'll arrive at Laguna San Rafael National Park.

Upon disembarking at the National Park dock, we can embark on a short walk along an interpretive trail, a 30-minute round trip, to stretch our legs, use the restroom, and explore the ruins of the historic Ofqui hotel.

Following this brief pause, we'll return to the boat to sail towards the wall of the San Rafael Glacier, where we will marvel at its majestic descent and the stunning natural backdrop. Here, we will savor a delicious homemade lunch, and as a special treat, we will enjoy whiskey with ancient ice! along with a good coffee. After this delightful navigation, we will return to the dock by around 5:00 p.m., and those who opted for the transfer option will head back to Puerto Tranquilo, arriving at approximately 8:00 p.m.
