Scenic Navigation Puerto Montt – Chaitén

The Puerto Montt – Chaitén Navigation is a regular maritime service that connects Puerto Montt, one of the main access points to southern Chile, with the city of Chaitén, gateway to northern Patagonia and the emblematic Carretera Austral. 

Lasting approximately 9 hours, this journey allows you to explore unique landscapes of Patagonian channels and fjords, offering a relaxed and scenic travel experience. The service operates year-round, with scheduled departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, always subject to local weather conditions. Departure from Puerto Montt is at 11:00 PM, while departure from Chaitén is at 11:00 AM, allowing for flexible planning for different types of travelers. 

On board, passengers enjoy comfortable seats and spaces designed for a peaceful journey, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings while sailing. The service includes maritime transport to Chaitén, while vehicle space is available at an additional cost, subject to availability.
