Tour Description
The tour kicks off with a departure from the passengers' hotel, heading towards the stunning beaches of Calhau, São Marcos, Ponta D` areia, and Espigão. These breathtaking beaches beautifully contrast with the towering, modern structures of São Luiz's new center. Our journey will include a visit to the renowned Jansen Lagoon, an area equipped with multi-sports courts, bicycle paths, and tracks for walking and running.
Next, we will head to the historic center of the city, where the charm of colonial architecture awaits. As we stroll through its streets and cobbled alleys, we will admire the beautiful mansions that reflect the architectural heritage from the city's colonization. Originally founded by the French, and later influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, and Indigenous cultures, this region boasts a unique cultural identity.
During our exploration, we will pass by Pedro II Square, a significant historical landmark, the Palace of the Lions, which serves as the government seat, the Cathedral de la Sé, and Giz street, the cultural heart of the region, home to various popular culture centers and folklore. We will also visit Beco Catarina Mine, renowned for its shops and restaurants, and proceed to Casa das Tulhas, one of the city's key tourist attractions.
Known as Casa das Tulhas or Mercado de Tulhas, this bustling market is a shopping hub with a multitude of stores offering a diverse range of local products, from food and spices to handicrafts and apparel.
Upon concluding the tour, we will return to the passengers' hotels.
