We will depart from our designated hotels and travel 18 km along the Ponta Negra highway to reach the port of Manaus, where our adventure will commence. Located in the heart of the city, the port will be our initial stop, allowing us to explore its interior before making a brief stop in front of the Rio Negro Palace, the official residence of the State Government.
Our next destination is the Museum of the Indian, managed by the Salesian Congregation. This museum is the ideal place to delve into the traditions and customs of the indigenous population. It features a collection of over four thousand artifacts crafted by various tribes that have inhabited the region over the years. The collection includes household items, musical instruments, ornaments, and weapons.
Next, we will proceed with an external tour of the Palace of Justice in the Amazon, a building commissioned by Governor Eduardo Ribeiro. This structure, inspired by French and neoclassical architecture, has been transformed and now serves as a cultural center.
