Tour To Sabara And Congonhas

Sabará is situated just 20 km from Belo Horizonte, where visitors can admire the stunning Churches of Nossa Senhora do Ó, often hailed as the little princess of the Baroque Mineiro. Additionally, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo showcases the artistic works of Aleijadinho. The town is also home to the Casa da Ópera Theater and the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, historically attended only by slaves.

Congonhas lies 80 km from Belo Horizonte. Here, we will explore the Church of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos and marvel at the masterpieces of Antônio Francisco Lisboa, known as Aleijadinho. His renowned works include the 12 soapstone prophets and the Wooden Sculptures inside the Vía Sacra Chapels, which are located outside the Church. We will return to Belo Horizonte in the late afternoon.
