The adventure kicks off around 9:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in a 4 x 4 Land Rover. We’ll embark on an approximately 80 km journey to a remote southeastern point of the city, marking the entrance to the Gulf of Nuevo. Here, we will encounter the legendary Punta Ninfas Lighthouse, a beacon for sailors that lends the area its name.
Our journey continues for a few more kilometers until we reach the mouth of the Gulf of Nuevo, an area encircled by cliffs offering breathtaking panoramic views, untouched beaches, and distinctive sandy shores. To reach the beach, you'll need to descend the cliff, with assistance from our experienced guide-driver.
Along the way, ropes will ease your descent. These beaches are home to a permanent colony of southern elephant seals, visible year-round, allowing us to walk very close while respecting their habitat.
This location, not part of any reserve or protected park, is a delicate and exposed ecosystem. It's crucial to maintain respectful distances and keep noise levels low to minimize disruption.
Seasonally, we may also spot Southern Right Whales and Orcas passing by.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., we will begin our journey back to the city, ensuring you are returned to your central hotel.
