This excursion is divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Both groups cover the same path, visiting all stations with identical total program duration. The only variation is the departure time and the sequence of visited locations.
🚂 Group A Route
Group A of the Solar Train of the Quebrada completes a full tour through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, following a structured itinerary that ensures you savor each destination progressively.
The journey begins in Volcán, the train's starting point, where the adventure into the heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca kicks off. The first stop is Purmamarca, a renowned destination known for the Hill of Seven Colors and its artisan market.
The tour then proceeds to Maimará, celebrated for its mountain formations like the Painter's Palette, before heading to Tilcara, a significant cultural and historical hub where you can delve into archaeological sites and soak in the local vibe.
On the return journey, the train traverses Posta de Hornillos, a pivotal historical landmark in the region, then moves towards Tumbaya, a quaint and picturesque village that preserves the traditional essence of the ravine.
