Tour Description

Our adventure begins at a designated farm serving as our meeting point, marking the start of an exhilarating hike lasting around 9 hours.

The trail starts off broad with medium-low difficulty, making it suitable for most trekking fans. As we proceed, we head towards the meeting point of the Encanto Blanco and Azul rivers, familiarly known as "La Confluencia", showcasing nature's grandeur in all its glory.

Along the way, we will pass by the Viewpoint Loma de los Piches, a strategic spot where our expert guide will help us take in the stunning views of the Valle del Azul. As we continue, we'll reach the first refuge, "La Playita", nestled on the banks of Río Azul. This idyllic spot offers a much-needed break.

The trek continues to La Tronconada Refuge, located in a picturesque coihue forest at the base of Cerro Dedo Gordo. After another 20 minutes, we will arrive at the Refugio del Cajón del Azul. Here, we will witness the highlight of this adventure: the Río Azul canyon. From a log bridge, at a depth of 35 meters, we'll observe the river carving its path between rock walls that, in some places, are less than a meter apart.

Accompanied by a specialized mountain guide, we can enjoy this experience with peace of mind.

After roughly 9 hours, we will return to our initial meeting point, concluding the trek.
