Our tour to the San Telmo Craft Fair y Fair Mataderos is ideal to know the true Argentine tradition . Along with a guide that will accompany you throughout the tour, we will visit the two most characteristic and popular cultural fairs in the City of Buenos Aires.

The excursion includes the San Telmo Craft Fair in the morning and part of the afternoon; and then a visit to the famous Mataderos Fair where We will have lunch with typical dishes and we will enjoy Art Festivals, del market, demonstrations of horsemanship and all the charm of regional products that can be purchased there.

10:30 am: we will meet at the Office from Tangol located in the San Telmo neighborhood, to go to theSan Pedro Telmo Antiques Fair. Since 1970, this Fair has been held every Sunday at the Plaza Dorrego and Defensa Streetmainly, which is made pedestrian for this great event. More than 10,000 people, many of whom are tourists, visit the 270 sales positions. You will find everything from furniture to regional crafts, antiques, clothing and leather goods. We will enjoy tango orchestras with its dancers, living statues and other street performances which along with the antiques and the cultural importance that is developed here, make this Fair an ideal setting to visit.

We will also visit the San Telmo Market, ideal for buying souvenirs since you can find original and unique products there. 

12:30 pm:After knowing and enjoying all the charm of the San Telmo Fair, we will leave after noon towards the southwest of the City of Buenos Aires to reach the renowned Mataderos Fair which was created 30 years ago and has been working successfully ever since being a truecelebration of the "Gaucha Culture". It consists of three areas plus a food court: Traditional Crafts, Artistic Festival and Gauche Skills, around which different activities are offered such as workshops, talks and exhibitions.

More than 300 posts tended by their own artisans sell folk products traditional items such as mates, llama or alpaca ponchos, blankets and leather and silver items. 

We will have some free time to visit the "Criollo Museum of the Corrales". This rural-style museum gives us an idea of how the gauchos in the pampas: your clothes, tools and everyday objects. It will also show us how Argentina was developed until it became a A major exporter and world leader in the meat industry. We will be able to see weapons, knives that they use, cars, animals and country paintings.  (This activity is optional, and the purchased tour does not include admission to the museum)

As soon as you arrive at the Fair, you will notice that it is full of grills where grillers cook delicious meats and others typical dishes. It will be time to lunch some tasty empanadas accompanied by a drink that the tour includes.

Let`s continue visiting the craft stands: accessories, everyday objects and musical instruments. Both products such as regional foods (jams, liqueurs, alfajores, cheeses) can be found at a much lower price cheaper than in places in other parts of the city of Buenos Aires. 

The gastronomy and crafts of the Mataderos Fair are perfectly complemented by the music and folkloric dances that take place there, since the Fair is also recognized for its Art festivals and demonstrations of gaucho skills. On special occasions, you may watch horse races and even take part in tango lessons! 

05:00 pm: After approximately three hours at the Mataderos Fair, we will end this great day by returning to the Tangol Office located in San Telmo.
