Tour Description
We will meet our guests at the designated meeting point near the Obelisk, where we will gather the group and arrange comfortable seating in our vehicle. Our departure for Gualeguaychú is scheduled for 7:45 AM. Along the way, we will make a brief stop at a gas station, allowing passengers to use the restroom and, if desired, purchase items from the mini-market. The journey will take approximately two and a half hours in total.
At around 10:30 AM, we will arrive at Las Magnolias winery, situated at the South Access of Gualeguaychú. Here, the farm staff will warmly welcome us. The visit will start at the entrance of the historic colonial house, now home to the restaurant and the winery's tasting room.
We will enjoy a guided tour through the vineyards, where you can observe the vines showing their spring shoots after pruning. During this walk, we will discuss the different grape varieties and soil types, among other interesting details. Next, we will tour the winery itself, where the wine is crafted and aged using artisanal methods. We will share the history of winemaking in this region of Argentina, including its period of prohibition.
Afterwards, we will participate in a wine tasting and sampling session under the estate's main oak tree or in the charming lounge. A snack will be served, featuring small empanadas, local cheese, and coarsely sliced salami. There will be free time for photos and to explore the grounds before we depart.
Around 12:30 PM, we will head to Crescencio restaurant, one of the finest on the Gualeguaychú waterfront. This establishment is renowned for its rich history, excellent service, and a diverse menu to suit every taste. Lunch will include a starter, main course, and dessert (see menu for details).
Following lunch, we will board the eleven-meter-long Gypsy Cruise for an unforgettable experience. This guided boat tour along the city’s waterfront will recount the story of the immigrants who arrived at the port of Gualeguaychú. Highlights of the tour include Libertad Island, the historic cargo crane, the Mendez Casariego Bridge, and Unzué Park.
During the cruise, guests will be treated to local sweet delicacies and hot coffee. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on board. The boat offers restroom facilities and a spacious interior, ideal for rainy days. The cruise will last between sixty and ninety minutes, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sunset from the water.
We will disembark at the port steps, where our vehicle will be ready to take us back to Buenos Aires. We’ll make a stop for restroom use before arriving near the Obelisk at approximately 9:30 PM.
