Ski Day At Cathedral Hill

In the morning, our vehicles will pick you up at the designated meeting points within San Carlos de Bariloche. From there, we will set off on our journey to the impressive Cerro Catedral, recognized as the largest and most popular ski resort in South America.

The drive, which takes about 45 minutes, follows the scenic edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi as we gradually ascend towards the winter resort. Breathtaking panoramic views of the mountain range and snow-covered forests will accompany us throughout the route.

Upon arrival at the base, we will proceed to the Travesía Building, located right in front of the Las Terrazas Shopping Center, where our meeting point for pass and equipment collection is situated. Our staff will be waiting to assist you with everything you need to pick up your complete ski gear (boots, skis, and poles) and thermal clothing (jacket, pants, and helmet), all included in your experience.

With your equipment ready, you’ll be introduced to our certified instructors who will guide the day’s activities. At this time, groups will be organized according to the selected activity—in this case, beginner skiing.

The day begins with a 2-hour group ski initiation lesson, perfect for first-timers. Instructors will teach you how to put on your skis, basic gliding techniques, how to brake, and how to keep your balance. All lessons take place in a specially designated beginner area, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for learning. It’s an unforgettable adventure that combines fun and discovery!

After the lesson, we’ll accompany you to one of the base-area restaurants for a well-earned lunch break (not included). You can choose from a range of dining options while you relax and recharge for the afternoon.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Cerro Catedral at your own pace. With your included pass, you can continue practicing your new skills on the beginner slopes, wander around the base, capture panoramic photos of Nahuel Huapi National Park, or unwind in one of the mountain lodges with a hot beverage. You’ll also have the chance to shop at the resort’s stores, where you’ll find everything from unique souvenirs to delicious Bariloche chocolates.

At the designated time, we’ll gather once more at the meeting point to begin our return to Bariloche. On the way back, you’ll be able to share stories and relive the best moments of a day filled with adventure, snow, and excitement.
