Our journey commences on the iconic Route No. 40, where we will cross the bridge over the Limay River, marking the natural boundary between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
As we traverse the Huemul Peninsula and Puerto Manzano, our path leads us to Villa La Angostura before embarking on the scenic route of the 7 lakes. Nahuel Huapi, majestic in its vastness, stands as one of the most significant glacial lakes, spanning an impressive 529 km.
From the road's summit, we can view Villarino Lake, beautifully enveloped by coihue forests and mountain ranges, seamlessly connecting to Falkner Lake. Nestled between two mountains along the road, the Lake Machonico reveals its serene, dark blue waters.
Upon reaching San Martín de los Andes, the breathtaking Lacar Lake comes into view.
We will retrace our steps along the same route to return to the hotels in Bariloche.
