Descripción del Tour
The tour begins at 8:30 am with a convenient pick-up from centrally located hotels in Bariloche, embarking on route 258 towards the southern region of Nahuel Huapi Park. Our journey will follow the scenic path of the Manso River until we arrive at Josh's Estancia, where a warm welcome awaits us.
Upon arrival, we will be greeted with a coffee before donning our navigation gear. The head guide will then provide a comprehensive safety briefing. After the instructions, we’ll be ready to begin our adventure, navigating the final stretch of the Manso River within Argentine territory. Initially, the calm waters of the river offer the perfect opportunity to take in the surrounding beauty, relax on the white sand beaches, and admire the cascading waterfalls.
As we progress, the Manso River transforms into a thrilling ride as we encounter exhilarating rapids within narrow canyons, showcasing the area's lush vegetation: El Cajón de Terciopelo, Agujero de Ozono, Gritá y beblá a la izquierda, el Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Éxtasis, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo, and Internacional... These gorges guide our passage through the Andes Mountains.
The journey concludes at the Chilean border: marked by the Border Marker that signifies our destination. We will gather our gear and make our way back to John’s Estancia, following a new route along an old muleteer’s trail, passing by streams and ravines.
Upon reaching John’s Estancia, we will be captivated by the family’s gracious hospitality and the stunning beauty of this quintessential Patagonian estancia. The charming house, its outbuildings, and the vibrant garden and grove, are a testament to over fifty years of dedication. This breathtaking landscape is further enhanced by the view of Cerro Bastión.
After the excursion, we will return to the heart of Bariloche and ensure you are comfortably dropped off at your centrally located hotel.
