In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Bariloche to transport you to Cerro Otto. Upon reaching the winter resort, participants will be divided based on their chosen activity, and an instructor will commence with detailed explanations and the day's itinerary.
Nordic Ski Day
Nordic (or cross-country) skiing is a winter sport accessible to most individuals. It can be enjoyed from childhood onwards and doesn’t demand significant physical strength. Unlike alpine skiing, it is practiced on flat or gently rolling terrain, making it less hazardous and simpler to learn. This makes it an excellent introduction to snow activities for those new to winter sports.
This experience includes a group class that lasts around an hour and a half, offering a highly interactive session, perfect for families or friends. After introducing the basic techniques, the instructor guides skiers along the trails, leading through the forest to vantage points with breathtaking views.
In the initial phase of the class, participants learn movements in an area with minimal slope, allowing them to build confidence in the activity. Subsequently, the instructor leads them along the beginner's trail through the lenga forest, featuring gentle undulations and stunning vistas of Lake Nahuel Huapi throughout its length. At the trail's end, a viewpoint offers panoramic views of the lake, perfect for taking photos.
Post-lesson, you can continue skiing until just before the shuttle departs to return you to your hotel.
The center boasts approximately 10 kilometers of trails of varying difficulty. Those designed for beginners feature marked tracks where traditional Nordic skiing is practiced along the entire route.
