You'll embark on a semi-rigid boat on one of your chosen lakes: Nahuel Huapi, Moreno, or Gutiérrez. This experience accommodates up to two anglers per semi-rigid motorboat, specially equipped for optimal lake fishing. While on the lakes, you'll enjoy both sailing and fishing from the boat, with opportunities to wade in the prime fishing spots that remain inaccessible to most.
At the conclusion of your fishing excursion, you'll head to the river exit point, where our team will be ready with vehicles and trailers. After changing, you'll be transported back to your hotel or accommodation.
We supply all essential gear for your fishing adventure, including waders, footwear, rods, reels, lines, flies, or lures.

An expert guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the embarkation point of your selected lake.
Nahuel Huapi is the largest lake and a significant part of the National Park, from which it derives its name. This expansive and deep lake features seven distinct arms, each with unique characteristics. It is home to large trout, primarily Rainbows and Browns, as well as smaller quantities of the remarkable Fontinalis. These sizable trout present a considerable challenge, especially when fly fishing. We utilize motorboats to fish and explore this magnificent lake through Fly, Spinning, or Trolling.
Gutiérrez Lake: is located 11 km from the city of Bariloche. This lake offers excellent fishing opportunities on windy days due to its unique location and wind-protected bays. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, it provides an ideal environment for catching Rainbow, Brown, and Fontinalis trout.

The Moreno Lake is open for fishing throughout the year. Situated 16 km from Bariloche’s center, it offers exceptional Rainbow and Fontinalis trout fishing. This scenic location boasts magnificent residences along its shores, set against the majestic backdrop of the Andes Mountains.

Upon arriving at the lake embarkation point, your guide will explain the fishing techniques we offer for the excursion:
  • Fly Fishing: This involves casting flies – or “dressed” hooks – which mimic insects, small fish, shrimp, and more, using a weighted line specifically designed for this purpose. Mastering this technique requires practice and dedication, but it is growing in popularity globally.
  • Spinning: This method involves casting and retrieving artificial lures, such as spoons, to imitate the movement of small organisms in the water, enticing the trout to strike if successfully deceived.
  • Trolling: In the Nahuel Huapi National Park, many idyllic lakes are perfect for trolling. We slowly drag artificial lures from the motorboat while taking in the spectacular landscapes.
Then, embark on your chosen fishing adventure on Lake Nahuel Huapi, Moreno, or Gutiérrez, using the technique you prefer.
You will continue to float and fish during the morning or afternoon, depending on your chosen option, at the best spots these lakes offer.
Accompanied by your guide, you will learn about the history of the San Carlos de Bariloche region and discover the best fishing spots and types of fish native to the area.
After traveling 12 km, your guide will return you to the lake departure site, where vehicles will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
Fishing Season
The fishing season runs annually from November 1 to April 30 within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Northern Patagonia. However, for off-season fishing, the Nahuel Huapi, Gutiérrez, and Mascardi lakes remain open during May and October. Lake Moreno allows fishing in all three methods year-round, making winter fishing possible there.
