Descripción del Tour:

In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to journey to the Limay River. This magnificent river meanders through the Patagonian steppe, a breathtaking region of the National Park, known for its stunning landscapes and pleasant climate. The river's crystal-clear waters, scenic beauty, and superb fishing opportunities make floating along the Limay River an unforgettable adventure. As the most significant river in the National Park, it presents diverse fishing opportunities for both novice and seasoned anglers. It is home to Rainbow and Brown trout, along with Patagonian Perch.
The Limay River is ideal for dry fly fishing from November to March. In April, large trout migrate from the expansive lake to the river to commence their breeding cycle. The Limay features five distinct sections, each approximately 12 km long, near San Carlos de Bariloche, offering a range of excursions.
Upon reaching the embarkation point on the Limay River, your guide will introduce you to two fishing techniques available for this excursion:
  • Fly Fishing: This involves casting flies—hooks “dressed” to mimic insects, small fish, shrimp, etc.—using a weighted line specially designed for this purpose, following a precise technique. This method demands practice and dedication to master the cast, yet it is gaining popularity worldwide.
  • Spinning: This technique involves casting and retrieving artificial lures, such as spoons, to imitate the movement of small organisms in the water, enticing the voracious trout to strike.
Then, the excursion begins, navigating the Limay River and fishing with your chosen technique.
After two hours of fishing from the boat, you’ll reach the riverside to enjoy a delightful lunch amidst nature. Following a break, you'll continue floating and fishing in the afternoon at prime spots along the Limay River.
With your guide always by your side, you’ll learn about the history of the San Carlos de Bariloche region and discover the best fishing spots and species that inhabit the area.
After covering 12 km throughout the day, your guide will return you to the river's starting point, where vehicles will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel.
