Descripción del Tour:

Today, we will set off from our hotel at around 2:00 p.m. en route to Laguna Cejar, situated about 20 km from San Pedro de Atacama, at an altitude of approximately 2,600 meters.

This turquoise lagoon is encircled by salt formations of various shapes, creating a breathtaking scene where the sky and mountains blend seamlessly.

Laguna Cejar is famed for its high salt concentration, akin to that of the Dead Sea in Israel, which allows visitors to effortlessly float on its surface due to the water's high density.

Surrounded by a distinctive natural setting, the lagoon is bordered by mountains and salt dunes that craft a dreamlike landscape. Visitors can indulge in a swim, experiencing the remarkable buoyancy, though we advise against submerging your head because of the high salt levels.

The Cejar Lagoon is a favored destination for birdwatching and photography, particularly at sunset when the sun casts a reflection on the lagoon's surface.

Today, we will also explore two additional sites that are part of the unique Atacama Desert landscapes.

The Ojos del Salar are two freshwater wells located in close proximity. Known as "Ojos", these are natural water springs that emerge from the desert floor, forming small pools of fresh water, serving as a true oasis amidst the desert, contrasting vividly with the saline waters of Laguna Cejar.

Here, we can relish the Ojos del Salar with a refreshing bath in the cool, crystal-clear waters amidst the surrounding arid landscape.

Our last stop today will be the Tebenquiche Lagoon, a saltwater lagoon nestled within the Atacama salt flat, offering sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, including the Andes.

The lagoon is a haven for diverse bird species, including flamingos that are often spotted foraging here. Witnessing their graceful elegance and vibrant plumage in their natural setting is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

One of the day's highlights will be witnessing a stunning sunset over one of these lagoons while enjoying a delicious and comprehensive cocktail, watching the sky's colors mirrored on the lagoon's surface.

Following this memorable experience, we'll head back to downtown San Pedro, where you'll be dropped off near the municipal parking area. From there, you can explore the town further or return to your hotel independently. Should you prefer a private service, we can drop you off directly at your hotel.

Ensure you bring warm clothing for the return journey, along with a camera to capture the breathtaking views and unforgettable moments. It's also crucial to adhere to the safety guidelines provided by your guide to enjoy this adventure safely and respectfully towards the environment.
