Depending on the program, it may include one night's accommodation in Iruya or the Gorge, with breakfast. Meals, entrance fees, drinks, tips, and personal expenses are not usually included. The itinerary is flexible and adapts to the traveler's pace, making it ideal for families, couples, or photographers. Always confirm the "Includes/Does Not Include" section when booking the tour to avoid surprises and optimize your travel experience.

The tour itinerary to the Quebrada de Humahuaca and Iruya is both scenic and cultural. It departs early from Salta or Jujuy (subject to confirmation) and travels through the landscapes of the Quebrada, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with possible stops at viewpoints and Andean villages such as Tilcara, Humahuaca, or Purmamarca, depending on logistics and weather. Upon arrival in Iruya, you'll stroll along its cobblestone streets, visit churches, viewpoints, and artisan markets. The following day, you'll continue exploring and return via a scenic route. Travel times can be long, with sections along cliffside roads. The local guide will adjust stops based on interests, safety, and road conditions.

The tour takes place at high altitude: valleys and villages lie between 2,000 and 3,000 meters above sea level, and the pass to Iruya reaches over 3,900–4,000 meters, so altitude sickness may occur. The excursion is of low to moderate physical exertion, with optional short walks. We recommend staying hydrated, eating light meals, avoiding alcohol, and consulting a doctor if you have heart or respiratory conditions, are pregnant, or have any other concerns. Bring warm clothing even in summer, as temperatures drop in the afternoon. If you are not acclimatized, inform the guide so they can adjust the pace. The operator prioritizes road safety, making breaks and conducting well-being checks throughout the tour.

For this 2-day trip to Iruya and the Humahuaca Gorge, pack layered clothing, a windbreaker, comfortable shoes or hiking boots, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, reusable water bottles, and snacks. Bring cash (cell phone signal and card readers may be limited), your ID, travel insurance, and a portable charger for cameras. The climate is dry with strong solar radiation; nights are usually cold year-round. The best time to visit is during the dry season (approximately April–November), when roads are more stable. In summer (December–March), rain can cause road closures and rescheduling. Book in advance for holidays and peak seasons to ensure availability.

To book your private tour to Iruya, you can do so online or via WhatsApp/email with the operator, indicating the date, number of passengers, and pick-up location (Salta or Jujuy). During peak season, it's advisable to secure your spot in advance. Prices vary depending on the season, group size, and accommodation category. Cancellation policies are usually flexible up to 48–72 hours in advance, with rescheduling or partial refunds in case of road closures or adverse weather; no-shows may not be refunded. Check available payment methods (credit card, bank transfer) and request an invoice if needed. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers altitude sickness.
