Descripción del Tour:

Begin your day bright and early with a hotel pickup at 08:30 am. Accompanied by expert guides, you'll head to some of the most sought-after fishing spots. The choice of location depends solely on weather conditions, ensuring a successful fishing experience. Possible destinations include:
* LAKE ARGENTINO: Known for its vast expanse along the coast of El Calafate, the prime fishing location is Punta del Lago, a spacious bay where Rainbow Trout and Lake Trout are abundant, with the latter being particularly notable for their impressive size. Despite the strong winds typical of this area that can challenge fly fishing, our guides are well-equipped to navigate these conditions and ensure a productive day. Large, shiny flies such as the Woolly Bugger or Zonker in purple or black with red and yellow accents, and rods of 6, 7, or 8 will be used.
* ROCA LAKE: This smaller lake with crystal-clear waters offers fish of varying sizes, with Rainbow Trout being especially prominent in summer due to their size and agility. Ideal for fishing with No. 6 rods and Wet Tip or fast sinking lines for deeper areas, the common flies include the black Woolly Bugger, Zonker, Matuka in black, olive, brown, and nymph colors, notably the Prince with a large head.
* LAKE STROBEL: Though challenging to access, this lake promises great rewards with its abundant Rainbow Trout and Portes weighing between 3 and 7 kilos. It's one of the most picturesque spots for fishing; heavy gear with 7 to 8 sinking lines and large, vividly colored flies are used.
* RÍO PELQUE: Featuring clear waters with minimal slope, this river is perfect for catching Brown and Fontinalis with fish ranging from 300 grams to 2 kilos. Río Pelque is ideal for light equipment, using rods from 2 to 5 and black Woolly Bugger flies.

* RÍO SANTA CRUZ: The province's most significant and powerful river offers excellent fishing in its upper section due to the abundance of Canadian Trout and Smallmouth Perch. At the river's mouth, Steelheads of substantial size, averaging between 3 and 6 kilograms, can be found. The gear for this river includes very heavy equipment with 8 or 9 rods, a sturdy butt at least 9 feet long, and a reel with a reliable brake. Common flies are large, weighted streamers, such as Rabbits, Wooly Bugger, and Zonker, in colors ranging from purple to black with hints of glitter.

This river remains largely unexplored; it's estimated that only a third of its course is frequented by local fishermen.

* RÍO CATERINA: Situated in the Lake Argentino basin, this is a prime spot for fishing Chinook Salmon, a challenging species as they do not feed when ascending the river for spawning. However, our guides have studied their behavior and successfully used artisanal fly fishing techniques to catch them.
Large, articulated flies in bright colors (fluorine green, oranges, etc.) with rods 7 to 8, sinking lines, and plenty of patience are required, as once a Salmon bites, an intense battle ensues. Holding onto these powerful fish is no easy feat, so ample backing on the reel and at least one tippet are necessary.

Throughout your fishing adventure, regardless of the chosen location, your guide will be at your service. You'll receive an introduction to basic concepts and techniques, including equipment usage, fly assembly, and rod selection, with practice tailored to your experience level.

Fishing will always be wading, allowing you to walk along river or lake banks. Thanks to the gear provided by your guide, including waders and boots with non-slip felt soles (some with nails for added grip), you'll have no trouble navigating the cold waters.

Choose between a full-day excursion offering 10 hours of fishing with a midday break for a delicious traditional lunch by the water, or a half-day experience with 6 hours of fishing and a snack, with departures at either 08:30 am or 2:30 pm.

In Argentine Patagonia, all fly fishing is catch and release, ensuring both enjoyment of the sport and preservation of the area's native species.

The service concludes with your return to your hotel in El Calafate.
