Descripción del Tour
The tour kicks off in San Telmo, one of the city's oldest districts, renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture.
We then move on to Plaza Dorrego, a hotspot for sightseeing in Buenos Aires. This area is surrounded by charming cafes, antique shops, and artisanal boutiques. The square is vibrant with street performances and tango shows, and on Sundays, it hosts the bustling San Telmo Fair, where stalls brim with antiques and curiosities.
Our journey continues through Lezama Park, a scenic spot with rustic trails, faux cement log railings, staircases, and semi-subterranean structures.
A key highlight within Lezama Park is the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, which exemplifies the Orthodox architectural style in Buenos Aires.
Next, we visit the iconic neighborhood of La Boca, celebrated for its vividly painted buildings and rich, cosmopolitan history. The main street, Caminito, is a lively cultural hub where local artists display their creations.
The group will also have the opportunity to view the renowned Boca Juniors Stadium.
As we enter the Avellaneda neighborhood, you'll pass by the historic Transporter Bridge, a notable structure in Buenos Aires opened in 1914 and currently undergoing renovations. This bridge was designed to carry pedestrians, cars, vehicles, and trams, and is one of only eight transporter bridges remaining worldwide. The tour proceeds to the city's newest district, Puerto Madero, a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Its former docks have been transformed into high-end restaurants, lofts, and offices offering spectacular views of the city and the Río de La Plata. From here, you will venture into the Ecological Reserve, a protected area between the city and the Río de la Plata, dedicated to preserving the native pampas flora and environment.
A highlight of the tour is the visit to the Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve, situated to the east of Puerto Madero. This expansive green oasis within the city provides a serene setting for a walk along the Río de la Plata's coast.
Concluding the tour, you'll explore Plaza de Mayo, a historic site that has witnessed Argentina's major political events since Buenos Aires' founding. The plaza is home to the Government House (Casa Rosada), the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and other significant public buildings.
The tour concludes at the original meeting point.
