Frequently Asked Questions

Snowboard rental for your ski trip typically includes a board, boots, and bindings adjusted to your skill level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Many agencies offer helmets, wrist guards, and goggles as extras; thermal clothing and outerwear are usually rented or purchased separately. Pack a technical base layer, waterproof jacket and pants, gloves, thermal socks, a buff, sunscreen, and your ID/card for the deposit. Pre-trip maintenance (waxing and sharpening) is often included for optimal performance at the ski resort. Check the exact details of the offer when booking to avoid surprises and make the most of your adventure tourism experience.

For a safe skiing experience, choose your skis based on your height, weight, and style (all-mountain, freeride, or freestyle). As a guide, the length should typically be between your collarbone and nose, adjusted according to the manufacturer's recommended weight. Boots should fit snugly but comfortably; measure your foot at Mondopoint and wear thin technical socks. Indicate your skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) so they can adjust the boot stiffness and ski flex. At the resort, request a personalized binding adjustment (angles, stance, and position). If you experience any discomfort, request a size exchange the same day—a common practice in destinations like Bariloche, Valle Nevado, or Las Leñas.

Yes. In South America, peak season typically runs from June to September, and during long weekends, the demand for snowboard rentals skyrockets. Booking online in advance guarantees stock in your size and skill level, better rates, and convenient pick-up times. Many companies confirm immediately and allow you to change dates depending on availability. Check if there are options for in-store pickup, hotel delivery, or delivery to the base of the ski resort. For groups and families, booking in advance facilitates similar equipment and coordinates rental times with lessons or lift passes. Also, check no-show policies and grace periods for late arrivals.

Rates are usually offered per day or in multi-day packages with standard and premium categories; sometimes there are discounts for groups, families, or early bookings. A security deposit via credit card is common when picking up the equipment. Many agencies offer accidental damage insurance (basic or full) that covers minor scratches and breakage; it generally does not cover theft, loss due to negligence, or unauthorized off-piste use. Your travel insurance may supplement this coverage. Carefully review the terms, deductibles, and what is considered normal wear and tear. Ask about early return policies if the weather changes and about late return fees.

The most common option is to pick up your equipment at a shop near the ski resort, with personalized boot and binding fittings. Many tourist destinations offer delivery to your hotel or the base of the ski resort, with return at the end of the day or the end of your package. Check opening hours, the possibility of picking up the afternoon before, and half-day cut-off times. If the forecast predicts bad weather or slope closures, inquire about rescheduling options, credits, or partial refunds according to the flexible cancellation policy. Prioritize safety: wear a helmet, obey signage, and if you're a beginner, consider lessons with a certified instructor.
